Select a nurse or other healthcare professional who has been elected or appointed to a governmental position and identify and discuss two or three governmental realities/procedures (forces internal to government) that determine that leader’s effectiveness in influencing health care policy. How might that healthcare professional in his/her specific role in government be affected by external forces? Make sure that you clearly, but succinctly, provide some information about your selected official and demonstrate understanding of how government works at the level your selected official operates. Also, demonstrate your understanding of the structure and procedures by which policy is determined at all three levels of government: federal, state or local.
