A person with Chronic Illness and disability may experience loss of physical capacity, body image, and ability for sexual or intimate relationships, and a loss of mental capacity to make decisions independently. A person who becomes paralyzed due to a motor vehicle accident may experience loss of physical prowess that they experienced before the accident and it could affect their body image and sexual or intimate relationships.
